Service Description

(THIS SESSION IS ONLY FOR ADOPTIVE PARENTS WHO HAVE ALREADY RECEIVED A POTENTIAL MATCH THROUGH THEIR AGENCY) When you receive a potential adoptive match, it can cause a whirlwind of emotions such as joy, excitement, hesitation, or fear. All of these feelings are normal! You are about to make the biggest decision of your life, and it's important to make sure you are on the right path. You may ask yourself: -How do I know if I am the right parent for this child? -Can I handle this child's needs? -What do all of these diagnoses mean? -How do I know if this child will be safe to have around my other children? -What questions should I be asking the caseworkers to make sure we are the right fit? -What if I make the wrong choice? That is where I come in! As an adoptive mom to three kids, I understand what it is like to walk through the matching process. In our session, I will ask you thought-provoking questions to help you process through all of the information you have on this potential match. You will learn how to "read between the lines" on adoption profiles to know what to look out for. I will listen to your fears, concerns, and hesitations and provide you with emotional support. We walk talk through the pros and cons of your potential match to decide if you are the right family for this child! Are you ready to talk through someone who really gets it? Cancellation Policy

There are no refunds for cancellations or no-shows, but you can reschedule an appointment with no penalty as long as you do so more than 24 hours before your session start time. If you do not rebook within that time frame, you will not be able to reschedule. Please note that if you book a Premium Adoption Consultation session only five days in advance, I may not be able to complete all of the research needed before our call.
